The City of Venaria and the CNA of Turin, in collaboration with ALTREMENTI, announce the award for Design

VENARIA REAL DESIGN

for the design of GADGET OFFICIAL of Venaria

The award stems from the desire to provide the City of Venaria an object-symbol design that on one hand represents institutionally the territory, and the other is a souvenir for tourists, whereas the progressive increase of visitors that the city is experiencing following the reopening of the Palace and Gardens (estimates provide a flow of about 1 million tourists' year).

Given these assumptions, the objective of the Prize is to arrive at concrete put into production and marketing / of the winning projects, designers must present combined with a manufacturer and establish with the same agreement which provides for royalties are the items sold (the guarantor of the transaction will CNA).

The winner of the Professional (P) and student category (S) will also receive a refund to:

- 1000 € (P)

- 500 € (S)

The designer will be totally free in deciding the type, shape, materials, dimensions and possible functions of the gadget itself. The objective is the creation of an object (not can be a logo or a draft corporate intangible), the only mandatory requirements are:

- the cost of the project (must be designed for a mass production)

- representativeness of Venaria, in its historical and / or architectural and / or recreational and / or sport.

The winning projects will participate in the exhibition to be held at the Teatro della Concordia Venaria Reale from 16 to 21 June 2008 , based on which will be officially awarded to the winners.
